When you use oleo, we collect the following information:

• Your name and email address (provided via Google sign-in)
• Your Shopify store domain
• Theme files from your connected Shopify store (Liquid, CSS, JSON, and JavaScript files)
• Chat messages between you and the AI agent
• Request telemetry (token counts, response times, tool usage — no message content)

2. How we use it

We use your information solely to provide the oleo service: your theme files and chat messages are sent to third-party AI inference providers so the agent can read, understand, and edit your theme code. Telemetry data is used to monitor service quality and debug issues.

3. Third-party processors

To deliver the service, we share data with the following categories of third-party processors:

• AI inference providers — your theme files and chat messages are sent to third-party AI providers for processing
• Hosting — the application is hosted on cloud infrastructure providers
• Database — your data is stored in a managed PostgreSQL database
• Authentication — sign-in is handled via Google OAuth

4. AI training

We do not use your theme data, chat messages, or any other personal information to train AI models. Your data is used only for providing the service.

5. Cookies

Oleo uses only essential cookies required for the service to function: a session cookie (JWT) for authentication and a temporary state cookie during Shopify OAuth connection. We do not use tracking cookies or analytics cookies.

6. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all associated data — including your store connection, theme files, chat history, and telemetry — is permanently deleted.

7. Your rights

Under the UK GDPR and EU GDPR, you have the right to:

• Access — request a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• Rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
• Erasure — request deletion of your data (you can also delete your account directly)
• Portability — request your data in a portable format
• Objection — object to the processing of your data

8. Children

Oleo is not intended for users under the age of 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

9. Changes to this policy
